Photos and editing

Photos are edited locally in the Neko Photo desktop app. The account website does not need your photo library for ordinary editing. The app can still make optional updater or account-related network calls when those features are used.

Account and security data

Registration and account features use information such as your name and email address. Passwords are stored as hashes rather than in reversible plain text. The website also processes session and CSRF data to keep signed-in forms and requests working.

Membership and license data

If you use membership or licensing features, the service processes the account's tier and license information needed to show or enforce that access. The site may also receive account requests from the desktop app when you choose to sign in or use an account-connected feature.

Downloads and technical logs

A download event may record the release version, a hashed IP address and a truncated user-agent string. The website, hosting stack and delivery edge may also create routine access, security and error logs. Their exact contents and retention depend on the deployed services; this page does not promise a fixed retention period.

Feedback, contributions and avatars

When you use the dashboard or desktop feedback flow, the service may store your message, category, optional app version, status and contribution points. If you choose an avatar, the uploaded image is processed and stored for your profile. Do not include sensitive information that is not needed for the report.

• Receive, review and respond to feedback and contribution activity.
• Support optional updater and account calls from the desktop app.

Choices and questions

You can use the desktop editor locally without sending a photo library to the website. Account, feedback, avatar, updater and license features involve the data described above when you choose to use them. Use the available account or feedback flow for requests about your information; do not assume that deleting a local app file deletes server-side account records.
